So many unprecedented changes have come over the past 18 months and the furniture industry continues to evolve - being one of the fastest growing online categories during the pandemic. Unfortunately, this industry (like many others) has not been unaffected or without its challenges.
Internationally: Shortages in containers and congestions at ports, in addition to backlogs with shipping lines, have restricted the usual flow of international imports. This has resulted in significant delays and increased difficultly gauging production lead times and importing timeframes accurately. Our suppliers continue to be affected by increase costs for materials directly related to these same issues - raising the cost of goods across the board and affecting every factory, importer, freight forwarder and more.
At home: With lockdowns and other covid restrictions more people are utilising online shopping with delivery directly to their homes, this has resulted in an increased demand and pressure on courier companies so deliveries have the potential to take longer than usual.
Our hardworking warehouse team are still putting together orders and dispatching twice daily to keep up with the high demand.
